1. DOUBLE OR NOTHING - THE GAME
Double or Nothing (also known as "DoN") is a Sit'n'Go form of poker. You only have to place yourself in the top5 (10 people table) to DOUBLE your money. It is the easiest and most safe way of poker. Most people think you just play DoNs like you play standard sit'n'gos, but there is a big difference. If you learn the difference you will be able to dominate the competition!
2. BANKROLL - LEVEL TO PLAY ON?
In my opinion you should have 20-30 buy-ins on the level you should play on. If you want to be very safe you should start with 40 buyins.
Example: If you have a 200$ bankroll you should play the 10$ DoNs (200$ / 20 buyins = 10$)
3. TURBO OR REGULAR?
It's more easy and safe to play on REGULAR speed DoNs. Many people get tired and bored and start making mistake and taking chances. For every player who get bored and taking chances you will increase your winning chance by 20%! When you feel like you are a master at playing DoNs I suggest you go to TURBO speed instead where you will earn more money per hour.
4. MULTI TABLEING
DoN is a easy game to multitable because when you learn to play most of your decisions you will make without even thinking about it. The first 10 games you play: start with 2 tables. After that, go up to 4 tables. Stop there for 100-300 games then you can go up to 6-8 tables. DON'T go any higher than this. Many people multitable to much and they start making mistakes! Most of the time I just play 4-6 tables. Then I know I can control the action on the table and almost every time i will win more than 66% of the tables.
5. THINGS YOU HAVE TO KNOW BEFORE YOU PLAY DON
#1 - play tight and you will win!

The most common mistake that most of the DoN-players make is that they play to many hands! Just by knowing this and always playing tight you have increased your chance of winning ALOT.
#2 - sometimes it's good to fold the best hand!

Let's say there are 6 players left in the tournament. The chipstacks are as followed:
player 1 (You): 2000
player 2: 1500
player 3: 3000
player 4: 4000
player 5: 600
player 6: 500
Smallblind: 150
Bigblind: 300
You have bigblind (300) and player 2 have smallblind(150). Everyone folds and player 2 goes allin with 1500. you're the only one left with AA. What should you do? Call? NO, that is wrong! You have the best hand, but in poker EVERY 2 cards can win! Even 2-7 has a pretty high percent chance of winning before the flop! Lets say you fold instead. Now you will have 1700 in you stack. But there are still 2 player with less then two big blinds left! You didn't take out player 2. But within minutes or seconds player 5 or player 6 will have to go allin with a bad hand and they will probably loose and you didn't RISK getting a badbeat! Play tight! remeber rule number 1!
#3 - it's a allin- or foldgame

In the end of the game you have to start taking a few more chances! Rember not to wait to long before you do this. When you push all-in you never want a call. You just want everyones blinds! because in the end, if you just blindsteal TWO TIMES, this might send you from shortstack to the second best stack on the table! If you wait to long and have a tiny tiny stack you will get calls and even if you double up you might still be one of the shortstacks. You want to start stealing when the blind are in the 50-100 levels. But in that level you should not go allin, just bet 3-4x the bigblind, that will be enough to scare people away. Try to call as few allins as posible! Your mission is to push people all in. Don't get pushed by them! If you push allin the chances are you will win blinds and increase your stack. If you CALL an allin you will have to count on LUCK to much! Of course some times you have to call allins if you're one of the shortstacks and have a good hand! And remember: if the player you play against is a good player he will try to steal blind when he is in the dealer position or on the small blind. So if you are one of the shortstacks and you sit on the big blind when the small blind goes allin, he probably doesn't have a very good hand. So now would be a good time to try to double up and get yourself away from the shortstacks!
#4 - position position position!

Position is one of the keys to win at DoN. Don't take any chances with midle-good hands in bad positions. DON'T try to steal blinds in a bad position. Most of your hands you will play if you sit on the button or on the small blind!
#5 - stealing!
------
a common mistake most players do when they try to steal in the end of the game is that they bet to small. You are on smallblind (150) and you want to steal the big blind (300) with a middlepair. If you just raise to 600 or 700 to steal the blinds and you get a reraise to 1200 you will get forced to call or you will be the new shortstack. The right way to play is to go ALLIN or FOLD right away. Lets say you go allin with 1600. Now the bigblind is scared and he probably thinks that you have a good hand. If you just double the bigblind he will sense weakness in you and reraise allin.
#6 - DON'T use the pre-action-boxes and read the people who use them!

Most people use them! Start to read them now! If they have autocheck, you will probably be able to steal the pot in 9/10 times by betting a small amount on the flop or turncard. So start reading the players and stop give away tells by using the pre-action-boxes now!
6. DON - A PREFLOP GAME
If you become a master at preflop-play you will for sure master this type of game and win alot of money! Remember, don't draw til you're dead! If you have 8H, 7H and the flop comes: Ah Kh 3d. DON'T chase the flush! Only chase it if your opponent bets the minimum bet(big blind). Otherwise: FOLD. You will get better chanses of building up your stack. Remember, you only have to place yourself in the top5! even if you finish 5th you will be credited the same price as the chipleader!
7. READ YOUR OPPONENT LIKE A OPEN BOOK *NEW!*
The most importent opponents around the table to read is the players sitting around you. You will have to steal alot of blind and if you pay attention to the guys sitting around you, you will soon learn if they are tight, aggresive or blind stealers. THIS IS IMPORTENT to learn! Most reasons you will lose is that you don't know how the players around you play. Let's say the person sitter before you raise your big blind each and every time. When you get a decent hand you can reraise him and 90% of the times I would say he will fold. When you have done this to him 2-3 times he will stop trying to steal your blind! And you have saved yourself ALOT of chips!
But if you have a guy before you who just folds and gives you his small blind. Just be happy, you will get alot of free chips. If he moves allin he probably have a very good hand. Fold and wait for the next round, and he will give you his small blind again!
8. BAD-BEATS
You will have some badbeats. After all, poker is a game of luck aswell. You will never be able to win EVERY SINGLE DAY! This guide will make the luck have a lesser effect on your play. But sometimes you will have badbeats. Don't get angry and start tilting!
9. IMPORTENT STATS TO WRITE DOWN
The most important thing to write down to test yourself if you play how you should be playing!
How many allin-moves you do. Write down how many CALLS you get. how many times you have a BETTER hand that he has. how many times he has a BETTER HAND THEN YOU. how many times it is a COINFLIP. example:
If the stats show that when you push allin and you dominate the other player most of the time you will in the end win alot of money! But as I said before: you will have BADBEATS. Some days I might lose every game even if I have the stats I show you here. EVERY 2 CARDS CAN WIN. But in the end, the best players win!
